As we head into November and prepare for the Thanksgiving holiday, we would like to share a few friendly reminders to help keep our community safe and prevent unnecessary maintenance issues.

BALCONY MAINTENANCE – PLEASE CHECK YOUR DRAINS! 🍂

With the rainy season approaching, please take a moment to inspect your balcony and ensure that all balcony drains and grill covers are clear of leaves, debris, and other obstructions. Please make sure your balcony drains are clean and free of debris. Do not place furniture, storage items, rugs, or other belongings over or around the drains. Ensure that grill covers are not blocked or preventing proper drainage. If you notice that your drain or grill cover is blocked, clogged, or needs attention, please notify the management office ASAP so we can arrange to have it cleaned. Please remember: Blocked balcony drains can cause water to back up and enter your home, potentially resulting in significant water damage to your unit and surrounding neighboring units. A few minutes of prevention can help avoid costly repairs and major inconveniences for everyone.

THANKSGIVING REMINDER – KITCHEN SINK DISPOSAL 🦃

As you prepare your wonderful Thanksgiving meals, please remember to dispose of food scraps in the trash and NOT down your kitchen sink garbage disposal. Grease, food scraps, potato peels, rice, and other food waste can cause serious clogs in your plumbing lines. Please be aware that if maintenance or plumbing services are requested due to a backed-up sink and it is determined that food waste in the plumbing line caused the blockage, residents may be responsible for associated maintenance overtime and/or plumbing service costs.
